Tell us about your child and we'll match a specialist A-Level Business tutor within 24 hours.
Degree-level subject specialists, many PGCE-trained, who teach to the UK exam standard.
Tutors who know the mark schemes and coach the exact phrasing that earns every mark.
Every tutor is interviewed, reference-checked, and background-verified before their first lesson.
You are paired with a specialist in your exact board and tier — never a generalist.
Our tutors build subject knowledge alongside the analysis and evaluation skills that separate A and A* answers — because in Business it is applied judgement, not memorised definitions, that earns the top marks.
Step 1
We start with recent marks, confidence blockers, and the exact exam board so sessions feel personal from lesson one.
Step 2
Tutors connect concepts to examiner language, worked examples, and the habits that turn knowledge into marks.
Step 3
Parents see what changed after each session: topics covered, next steps, and the grade trajectory we are building toward.
The nature and purpose of business, mission and corporate objectives, stakeholders versus shareholders, and the differences between the private and public sectors.
Market research, segmentation, targeting and positioning, the marketing mix (7Ps), elasticity of demand, product life cycle, and marketing strategy for different markets.
Motivation theory (Taylor, Maslow, Herzberg), leadership and management styles, organisational structure, recruitment, training, and approaches to workforce performance.
Production methods, capacity utilisation, quality management, lean production, economies of scale, and managing supply chains and inventory.
Sources of finance, cash flow forecasting, break-even analysis, budgets and variances, profitability and liquidity ratios, and investment appraisal.
PESTLE analysis, the economic climate (interest rates, inflation, exchange rates), competition, and the legal and ethical framework businesses operate within.
Ansoff's matrix, Porter's strategies, decision trees, contingency planning, and how businesses grow, change, and manage risk in dynamic markets.
Growth of emerging markets, multinational corporations, globalisation, international marketing, and the challenges and opportunities of trading globally.

Top marks are reserved for chains of analysis and balanced evaluation — not for stating theory. We drill the 'point, because, therefore' structure and teach students how to weigh arguments and reach a justified judgement, which is exactly what the higher assessment bands reward.
Generic answers cap a student's marks. We practise pulling evidence from the case study or context and applying every point back to that specific business and its situation, so the response is relevant rather than textbook.
Ratios, break-even, investment appraisal, and interpreting data trip up many students. We work through calculations methodically and, crucially, teach how to interpret the numbers and use them to support a decision — where the real marks lie.

Both cover very similar content and are equally respected. The main difference is structure: AQA (7132) has three papers that each draw from the whole specification, while Edexcel (9BS0) organises content into themes and uses a pre-released context for Paper 3. We match your tutor and resources to your exact board.
You need solid GCSE-level numeracy. Around a quarter of the marks involve quantitative skills such as ratios, break-even, and investment appraisal, but nothing beyond arithmetic and basic percentages. We build confidence with these methodically, and interpreting the numbers matters more than the calculation itself.
Almost always it comes down to evaluation and application, not knowledge. Students who plateau at B usually explain points well but do not weigh arguments or reach a justified conclusion. We focus every essay session on building that judgement and applying it to the specific business in the question.
Edexcel releases a research context (a set of sources about a real market or business) before the Paper 3 exam. Questions in that paper are based on it. We help students prepare and annotate the context in advance so they can apply it quickly and confidently on the day.
